As the pace of economic globalization is picking up, nearly every country is developing more swiftly nowadays, among which China is one of the fastest-growing economies. Nevertheless, some Western countries profess that China isn't capable of innovating, which is undoubtedly a groundless opinion according to the long-term prejudice against China. From my perspective, I am strongly opposed to this view.

First of all, China has the ability to innovate. Although China is facing a variety of issues on the road of becoming an innovation powerhouse, it has been developing at a breathtaking speed and Chinese people are trying our best to solve the problems. For instance, the development program of Comac C919 was launched in 2008 and the airliner had its maiden flight on 5 May 2017. About 300,000 people participated in the development of C919 aircraft, reflecting the difficulty of this task. However, we succeeded in the end, managing to break technical the barriers, and we will continue to make achievements through unity, cooperation and persistent striving.

In addition, it is crucial for China to innovate. Given that the essence of today's international competition is the competition of national power based on economic and technological strength, making innovations is instrumental in promoting economic transition and the progress of technology. Powerful national strength is the key to safeguarding national interests. Therefore, China won't stop innovating despite some unfriendly comments from a few Western countries.

In conclusion, the Western countries' doubt and assault on China's ability to innovate are exceedingly unjustified, and China is going to keep innovating no matter what they claim.
