Recently, there is a piece of exciting news that the Chang'e 4 lunar probe landed on a crater at the South Pole and then sent back a picture of the landing site, marking the world's first image taken on the moon's far side. This is only one successful case of Chinese innovations and no one can deny the innovations and achievements the Chinese have got, are getting, and will get.
From the use of “population advantage” to “human brain advantage”, China is committed to shifting from high-speed development to high-quality development, but Chinese innovation ability has been misunderstood in the West. In fact, China has a cadre of elites who also give priority to innovation in various fields and researches. Over the past five years, China have been innovating unlike ever before. Agronomist Yuan Longping and his team set an international record of yielding over 15 metric tons of rice per hectare on Sept 24, 2014, and this hybrid rice nourishing half the world's population. On September 24, 2021, Science magazine reported that Chinese scientists have used carbon dioxide to synthesize starch for the first time. If this technology is economically feasible, this breakthrough may bring revolutionary changes to agriculture, as it helps reduce carbon emissions and combat climate change. What’s more, China has more technicians, talents, and large young science and technology reserve force . According to the Ministry of Science and Technology, China boasts the world's largest research workforce, with around 5.62 million full-time personnel last year. All of those can prove what China has done on innovation.
To sum up, innovation is China’s edge in development and China relying on the advantage has upgraded and developed many different fields. I believe China will be praised for its innovation by more and more people.
