Chinese Wisdom for the World

In the current world, China, the biggest developing country, is promoting the common progress of mankind with its unique wisdom. From my perspective, two key elements of Chinese wisdom are a shared destiny of mankind and a top priority of people’s interest.

 

The first key element of Chinese wisdom is the concept of a shared destiny of mankind. The construction of such a collective destiny is reflected in China’s continuous assistance to African countries in building trade infrastructure such as airports, harbors and railways, enabling them to integrate into and reap benefits of economic globalization. Equally important is China’s solemn pledge to achieve carbon peaking by 2030 and carbon neutralization by 2060. Accordingly, China has implemented legislation to curb pollutant emissions of its manufacturing industry for the global ecological protection.

 

The second key element of Chinese wisdom is the top priority attached to people’s interest. China’s paramount orientation towards people’s welfare is demonstrated in its relentless fight against the global COVID-19 pandemic. Not only has China protected the health and life of Chinese people with its zero-covid policy, it has also contributed to saving countless lives across the world by dispatching to other countries masks, ventilators and vaccines and sending medical teams to share their treatment experience. Another example is China’s success in poverty alleviation. Over the past 10 years, China has lifted more than 98 million people out of abject poverty, ensuring its 1.4 billion people, a fifth of the world’s population, live decent and respectable lives, an undeniable testament to China’s commitment to improving the welfare of mankind.

 

In conclusion, the two key elements of Chinese wisdom illustrated above have been and will continue to be the driving force for China’s development and contribution to the world’s progress and prosperity.
